Tulin Guler Yildiz completed her undergraduate education at Gazi University, Faculty of Vocational Education, Department of Child Development and Preschool Education (1994); she completed her master of science degree at Abant İzzet Baysal University Social Sciences Institute Program Development Program in Education (1997); she completed her doctorate at Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute Child Development and Education Program (2004). She did her postdoctoral work at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in the United States (2005) on literacy, family involvement and pre-school science education. During the 2011-2012 Fall Semester, she conducted research on the development of self-regulation in early childhood at New York University (NYU) Human Development and Social Change Institute with a scholarship from the Council of Higher Education. In 2014, she worked as a visiting scholar at the University of California-Berkeley (UCB) for a year with a TUBITAK postdoctoral scholarship. In 2000, she was elected to the executive committee of the "Turkish Preschool Education Development Association", which is the National Committee of the World Early Childhood Education Organization - OMEP: Organization Mondiale Pour L'Education Prescolaire. She served as vice president of the association from 2002 to 2016.

Tülin Güler Yıldız, who received the title and authority of Associate Professor in the field of Early Childhood Education in 2010, was appointed as a professor in 2017. She currently works as a faculty member at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Education, Department of Basic Education, Division of Early Childhood Education. Her studies and international projects continue in the fields of early childhood education programs, education for sustainability, self-regulation and science education.
