Prof. RAMAZAN AKÇAN

I was born in 1977 in the Güçlükonak district of Şırnak. I completed the first two years of my primary education there. In 1985, my family migrated to Batman for compulsory reasons. I completed my primary and secondary education in Batman (Ziya Gökalp Primary School, 60th Year Republic Middle School, and Batman High School).

I began my medical education at İnönü University Faculty of Medicine in 1995 and completed it in 2002, including one year of English preparatory education. That same year, I performed my compulsory service as the responsible physician at the Aşağı Sağmallı Town Health Center in the Özalp district of Van.

In 2003, I started my specialization training in Forensic Medicine at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine. I became a Forensic Medicine Specialist with my thesis titled "Detection of pesticides in bone marrow." In 2007, I conducted research for three months in the Department of Pathology at the University of Edinburgh Medical School.

Between 2008 and 2010, I was appointed as the first forensic medicine specialist to head the Şırnak Branch of the Council of Forensic Medicine of the Ministry of Justice. I subsequently worked at the Diyarbakır Group Presidency of the Council of Forensic Medicine and in the Department of Forensic Medicine at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine.

In 2010, I was appointed as a lecturer in the Department of Forensic Medicine at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. I attained the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and became a Professor in 2021. In 2021, I completed my PhD education in the Department of Bioengineering at the Hacettepe University Institute of Science and Technology, earning the title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering with my thesis "Surface enhanced raman spectroscopy as a novel analytical tool in toxicological analysis of heroin and metabolites in saliva."

I am currently working as a faculty member in the Department of Forensic Medicine at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine. I am a member of the Forensic Medicine Specialists Association, the Association of Forensic and Clinical Toxicology, the Indo-Pacific Association of Law, Medicine and Science (INPALMS), the International Academy of Legal Medicine (IALM), and the American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS).

Min di sala 1995'an de li Faqulteya Bijîşkiyê ya Zanîngeha Înönü dest bi xwendina bijîşkiyê kir û di sala 2002'an de qedand. Di heman salê de wekî doktorê berpirsiyar li nexweşxaneya Gundê Noşar a Jêrîn ya girêdayî navçeya Qelqelî ya Wanê xizmet kir.

Di sala 2003'an de li Faqulteya Bijîşkiyê ya Zanîngeha Çukurova dest bi xwendina Adlî Tibbê kir. Di sala 2003'an de bi teza xwe bû pisporê Adlî Tıbbê. Di sala 2007'an de li Beşa Patolojî ya Faqulteya Bijîşkiyê ya Zanîngeha Edinburghê bi sê mehan xebatên lêkolînê pêk anî.

Di salên 2008-2010'an de li Şirnexê bûm yekem Pisporê Adlî Tibbê. Paşê li Amedê û li Beşa Adlî Tibbê ya Faqulteya Bijîşkiyê ya Zanîngeha Dîcleyê xebitîm.

Di sala 2010'an de di Faqulteya Bijîşkiyê ya Zanîngeha Hacettepeyê di Beşa Adlî Tibbê de bum mamoste. Ez di sala 2013'an de bum Doçent û di sala 2021'an de li heman zanîngehê bûm Profesor. Di sala 2021'an de li Beşa Biyomühendîsî ya Enstîtuya Zanistên Fennî ya Zanîngeha Hacettepeyê xwendina xwe ya Doktorayê qedand (PhD) stand.

Niha, li Beşa Adlî Tibbê Adlî ya Enstîtuya Bijîşkiyê ya Zanîngeha Hacettepeyê dixebitim.
