Prof. Ömer
UGUR, MD, FEBNM graduated from Hacettepe University Medical Faculty in 1989. He
achieved specialist degree in Nuclear Medicine at Hacettepe University Medical
Faculty in 1995. He worked as a postdoc fellow for 2 years at Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA. He became Associate Professor
in 1998 and Professor in 2004. He was awarded with Prof. Dr. Suphi
Artunkal Award of Turkish Society of Nuclear Medicine in 1995, Hacettepe
University Research Group Science Encouragement Award in 1995 and 1996, Turkish
Scientific Research Council Science Encouragement Award in 2002 and Turkish
Academy of Science TÜBA-GEBİP Award in 2003. He was the President of
Turkish Society of Nuclear Medicine between 2010-2014 and Vice Rector of
Hacettepe University and Chief Physician of Hacettepe University Hospitals
between 2011-2016.
