Dr. Öğr. Üyesi ONUR ÇAĞDAŞ ARTANTAŞ

Asst. Prof. Dr. Onur Çağdaş Artantaş is a legal scholar based in Ankara, Türkiye. Since 2013, he has been affiliated with the Department of Administrative Law within the Hacettepe University Faculty of Law.

Dr. Artantaş earned his undergraduate law degree from Ankara University in 2012, followed by a Master’s degree in Public Law from the same institution in 2016. His LL.M. thesis, which examined the pricing of public services, was published as a book in 2018.

Supported by a doctoral scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), he conducted his Ph.D. research at Bucerius Law School under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Fehling. His dissertation, which focused on green electricity subsidies, earned the distinction of magna cum laude in 2021. A monograph based on this research was subsequently published by Springer in 2023.

From 2022 to 2023, Dr. Artantaş was a postdoctoral researcher at Bocconi University Law School. Collaborating with Prof. Dr. Giuseppe Franco Ferrari, he investigated the legal and economic dimensions of cross-border electricity trade—a project funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK).

His research interests lie at the intersection of administrative law and public economic law, with a particular focus on infrastructure sectors (energy, telecommunications, and transportation), sustainability, global trade, project finance, and banking regulation. He is an active member of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL) and the Max Planck Alumni Association (MPAA).
