Biography

Dr. Ebru Gökalp has been working as a researcher and practitioner in the area of informatics, management information systems, software engineering and digital transformation. She has lead or been involved in projects originating from industry-academia collaborations on digital transformation, software quality evaluation, business process management, and system/software requirements elicitation. She has specific experience in supervising model-based assessment and improvement of business processes. 

She worked as a principal researcher/project manager/digital transformation specialist in the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK)-Informatics and Information Security Research Center (BILGEM)-Software Technologies Research Institute (YTE) from 2016 to 2018. She also worked as a faculty member at Başkent University from 2018 to 2021, and an adjunct faculty for the Software Management and Information System programs of the Informatics Institute of Middle East Technical University from 2018 to 2020. She has worked as a researcher from 2019 to 2021 in the Department of Engineering, Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge. She currently works as an Assistant Professor at the Computer Engineering Department of Hacettepe University (H.U.) and the Information Systems program of Informatics Institute of H.U., in Ankara, Turkey. 

Her current research interests include Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Process Management, Digital Transformation, Software Quality Management, Software Project Management,  Capability Maturity Models, Industry 4.0
