Özet

Energy is a phenomenon that cannot be created or destroyed, but can be changed from one form into another. Electromagnetic induction is a good example where the same principle of energy conversion is applied. The induced current resulting from electromagnetic induction is related to some physical variables. These variables can change either directly or inversely proportionally to each other. However, semi-structured interviews with 20 pre-service physics teachers have shown that these relations are quite complex. For these reasons, pre-service physics teachers have some difficulty in establishing these relations and therefore they are at different understanding levels. Within the scope of this study, understanding levels of pre-service physics teachers about electromagnetic induction were determined.
