Özet

The main purpose of this study which is named 'The Meaning of Human Rights and the Teaching of Human Rights in Elementary Education' is to analyze how the concept of human rights is approached, taught and passed on in training programs in Turkey. The study is made up of two main sections except the sections of 'Introduction' and 'Conclusion'. The first section the title of which is 'Human Rights' analyzes the concept of human rights with its academic perspectives. The second section, The Teaching of Human Rights in Elementary Education, compares the programs of Citizenship and Democracy Course.
