romanı çocuk edebiyatının klasik eserleri arasında

yer alan ve ülkemizde de popülaritesini neredeyse hiç kaybetmemiş

çocuk romanlarından biridir. Pedagojik niteliği son derece

açık ve güçlü iletilerle kurulan romanın, estetik yetersizliği,

anlatısal düzenlemelerinde görülen özellikler ve dilsel seçimler

açısından tanımlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Romanda anlatı

formlarının hangi işlevle kullanıldığı, anlatısal örgütlenişteki

düzenlemelerin nasıl bir söylemsel niyet taşıdığı değerlendirilmiştir.

is a children’s novel among the classics of children’s literature,

and it has never lost its popularity in our country.

The novel’s educational/pedagogical dimension is shaped by

rather clear and powerful messages. This study attempts to define

the aesthetic/literary deficiency of this novel in terms of

its structural/narrative composition and linguistic preferences

(metaphors). It also evaluates the function of the narrative

forms and the discursive intention of the narrative organizations

in the novel.
