This paper suggests ratio type estimators of population mean using first or third quartiles and mean of auxiliary variable under extreme ranked set and double robust extreme ranked set sampling. The bias and mean square error of estimators are derived by theoretically. Empirical studies have been done to demonstrate the efficiency of proposed estimator over the existing estimators. We have found that proposed ratio type estimators are more efficient than existing estimators.
