The oral poetry tradition, characterized by the harmony of words and melody, has existed since ancient times, predating written culture. In the Bingöl region, this tradition has developed under the umbrella of "deyîrbazlık" and "dengbêjlık," and continues to thrive from the past to the present through representatives known as "deyîrbaz" or "dengbêj." The "deyîr" and "klam" poems, mostly anonymous and also produced individually in Kurdish (Zaza and Kurmanji), represent concrete examples of this representation, bridging the gap between poetry and music. Through these examples, the community's knowledge, experience, and values are passed down from generation to generation, while themes such as love, separation, exile, nature, patriotism, and death are frequently explored. In this context, the melodies known as "deyîr," taken from minstrels/bards such as Rençber Ezîz, Veli Korkankorkmaz, and Mehmet Yurtsever, as well as the anonymous "şiware" (laments), stand out as significant reflections of the theme of death in the minstrel/bard tradition. On the other hand, the "klam" (narrative poems) taken from masters such as Ehmedê Bertî, Dengbêj Haci Agha, (Ağa Çelik), Dengbêj Rahim (Abdurrahim Kolak), and Dengbêj Zozan are important as products of the dengbêj tradition's perception of death. In the works of these two traditions, the theme of death is evaluated through the harmony of sound, words, and melody in relation to concepts such as dying of natural causes, being murdered, mourning, grief, rebellion, revenge, acceptance, and defiance. In short, the "deyîr" and "klam" poems, created with a simple and fluent language, powerful descriptions, and realistic dialogues, possess rich content both linguistically and culturally, and contain important information about how the concept of death is perceived and its significance in the cultural memory of the Bingöl region
