Özet

Regarding the sociological developments in the field of science, one approach for understanding such phenomena has been positivism. Therefore, this study investigates the sociological developments in the field of physics, under this positivistic approach. The classical period of physics considered positivism as a form of dominant science in sociological studies, while modern physics brought about the debates of verifiability and falsifiability in this context. More specifically, Einstein's thoughts on relativity have fueled the debate on employing different forms of science in sociology and approaching science from the paradigm perspective. As a result, developments in physics have triggered a process in the field of sociology that continues until methods are ultimately rejected.
