Özet

The objective of this study is to evaluate approaches to necessity and importance of information and communication technologies within the scope of determining the status of use of information and communication technologies in Turkey, and accordingly transformation into information society. In order to compete with developed countries, suggestions are proposed by discussing the importance of transformating into information society at national and international levels within the framework of the information policy which has been deemed necessary and the process of transformation into information society where information Technologies are also essential statistics of use of information technologies are also presented in the study.
