Özet

The adoption of innovative technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and intelligent systems, is rising in workspaces, although it still constitutes a minority of applications overall. Universities and technoparks play a crucial role in fostering open innovation, which can stimulate experimental projects involving IoT and intelligent systems. This research focuses on the challenges and benefits of creating intelligent environments within educational settings, particularly university campuses and technoparks in Türkiye. Inspired by the success of Silicon Valley, numerous countries are developing their technopoles. This research provides a detailed history of Silicon Valley and explores the burgeoning technological potential that open and responsible innovation brings to intelligent spaces and technoparks. Furthermore, the study reports the results of research conducted in 2023 on evaluating the performance indicators for technoparks in Türkiye, using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence models to predict key performance indicators in encouraging incentives and investments in innovation and productivity within technopark performance assessment methods. The research findings also highlight the urgent need to increase the number of design staff and centers to advance innovative research within these environments. Ultimately, the research recommends strategies for establishing intelligent spaces in new and existing technoparks, emphasizing their potential to promote sustainable and responsible innovation.
