Özet

Copyright © 2014 by Türki ye Klinik leri.Sarcoidosis is a disease characterized by non-caseating granulomas, which might present with multi-organ involvement. The etiology of the disease is unknown. It frequently affects young adults. Although, the lung is the most affected organ, the disease can involve other systems. Infants and children younger than 5 years mostly present with the classical triad of skin, joint and eye involvement, but without typical lung disease. However, older children show involvement of the lungs, lymph nodes and, eyes more frequently, similar to the adult population. The disease is relatively rare in pediatric population. There are limited data about the clinical features and course of sarcoidosis in children. Here we report a girl who was presented with abdominal lymphadenopathy and diagnosed with sarcoidosis.
