A series of dienes containing the germanium and tin moiety were synthesized and their acyclic diene metathesis (ADMET) polymerization was investigated in the presence of electrochemically reduced tungsten-based catalyst system. All monomer and polymer structures were characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. Average molecular weights are determined by GPC. Glass transition temperatures of polymers were determined by DSC. The results in this work are comparing with those obtained by the other catalyst systems. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
