The human body has quite a flexible and multisegmental structure. Movements of body segments are quite different from one another. Gravitational forces act on all particles in a mass, especially the centre of gravity defined as the point at which the sum of all moments is equal to zero and is the point at which the body is balanced. Spasticity causes misalignment of joint and muscles resulting in alterations in body mechanics. Spasticity also may cause bad posture and weakness muscles. To reduce this bad posture may help spasticity management, the Alexander Technique, the Feldenkrais method and Pilates can be used to correct posture.
