Abstract
In this article, I will focus on Kant’s interpretation of Plato, particularly on the basis of the concept of the ‘idea.’ My aim is to open a discussion on Kant’s critique of the ‘Theory of Ideas’— which adopts the prevalent view of Plato as a dualist—by investigating the sources that influenced the formation of the portrait of Plato in the Critique of Pure Reason. To this end, first, the interpretation of Plato in the Critique of Pure Reason will be outlined; second, the research regarding which texts may have served as the sources for this interpretation will be discussed.
Kant’ın özellikle ‘idea’ kavramı temelinde yaptığı Platon yorumuna odaklanacağım bu makalede amacım, Saf Aklın Eleştirisi’ndeki Platon portresinin şekillenmesinde etkili olan kaynakları araştırarak Platon’un düalist olduğu yönündeki yaygın görüşü benimseyen Kant’ın ‘İdealar Kuramı’ eleştirisini tartışmaya açmaktır. Bunun için öncelikle Saf Aklın Eleştirisi’ndeki Platon yorumu ana hatlarıyla açıklanacak, ikinci olarak ise bu yoruma kaynaklık ettiği düşünülen metinlerin hangileri olabileceğine dair yapılan araştırmalardan söz edilecektir.
