The aim of this study is to determine demographic and socioeconomic features of Turkish low risk householders, who are more likely to be qualified for consumer credits. Therefore, the authors of the article Use the Budget Survey, of Turkish Householders conducted by Turkish Statistical Institute for the year 2003. The authors' sample was constituted by 25,507 households. Low risk households were differentiated from the others by focusing on the ones that have not only positive income-expense balance but also no Outstanding debt. The authors' binomial logit estimation provides a wide range of results on the direction of the relationship between being a low risk householder and the assets, types of savings, region of residence, job characteristics and internal issues of the households.
