The multidimensional working life of teachers, including their job demands and resources, poses a risk to occupational balance across their professional and personal lives. This study investigated the relationship between teachers’ job demands and resources and occupational balance. One hundred and eighteen teachers working in the public sector completed a demographic information form, the Occupational Balance Questionnaire-11, and the Job Demands and Resources Scale. Teachers’ occupational balance was negatively associated with organizational changes (r = -0.200; p = 0.030) among job demands; and positively related to the job resource factors of autonomy (r = 0.392; p < 0.001), collegial support (r = 0.256; p = 0.005), supervisor support (r = 0.286; p = 0.002), and personal development opportunities (r = 0.389; p < 0.001). This study shows that job demands and resources are related to teachers’ occupational balance. Improving job resources and reducing job demands can play an important role in enhancing teachers’ occupational balance and thus their overall well-being.
