Özet

The purpose of the study is to investigate how holistic and analytical thinking styles affect on the preservice teachers' mathematical problem solving performance and ways. For determining thinking styles, "The Scale of holistic and Analytical Thinkin Styles While Problem Solving" and for determining problem solving performance and ways, "Problem Solving Paper" were administered to 189 preservice teachers. At the end of the research there is not any significant difference between analytic preservice teachers' problem solving performance and holistic preservice teachers' problem solving performance. And also there are not so differences in terms of ways that are used between the two groups.
