Abstract

Tonsillopharyngitis is one of the most common pediatric upper respiratory tract infection. Although grup A beta hemolytic streptoccoci is the most important pathogens due to suppurative and nonsuppurative complications, there are other bacteria and viruses that cause the same clinical picture. But there is increase in the number of studies that report increased clinical failure with penicillin, so some other alternative treatment options are became listed.
