Özet

Today, images collected from low altitude (<120m) with cameras integrated on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) are used in many different fields as well as map production activities. Especially in the generation of surface models for residential areas, UAVs stand out due to their ability to obtain high resolution images from different viewing angles. The consistency of the produced surface models with the terrain reality depends on the geometric parameters such as the flight mode of the UAV, the distance between the structures/buildings and the height of the buildings, as well as the performance of the image processing software. Although the photogrammetric evaluation software used in the processing of UAV images basically use a similar image processing approach, the results produced may differ from each other. The geometric differences on these models were first evaluated visually, and at the same time, the compatibility of the models with each other was examined with the help of vertical profiles taken from different positions. In addition, the compatibility of the surface models produced with different software with the ground reality was evaluated with statistical approaches. The results obtained reveal the advantages and disadvantages of the software used in surface modeling studies in residential areas.
