Özet

We present a 19-year-old male patient with ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone secretion resulting from a pulmonary carcinoid tumor. The patient underwent a right lower lobectomy with mediastinal lymph node dissection. Histological diagnosis demonstrated a typical carcinoid tumor showing metastasis to the subcarinal mediastinal lymph nodes. We wish to emphasize the importance of screening for this rare form of tumor located in the lung, which is often overlooked in the etiology of Cushing's syndrome, and also the significance of mediastinal lymph node dissection, even after the diagnosis of a typical carcinoid tumor.
