Abstract

BACKGROUND: Caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), an active component of propolis extract, specifically inhibits NF-kappa B. It exhibits antioxidant, antiinflammatory, antiproliferative, cytostatic, and most improtantly, antineoplastic properties.
