The aim of this study is to determine and assess the working conditions and job attitudes of community pharmacists working in Ankara city center. In this cross-sectional study, a self-administered questionnaire was applied to 251 community pharmacists who had been selected by simple random sampling. The findings, point out that the community pharmacists are under excessive workload, economically stressed out, they cannot allocate most of their time to counselling and they experience stress because of their job. Also, pharmacists are not content with their income and one fourth of them plan to quit being a community pharmacist. In conclusion, there is a need for improving the working conditions of community pharmacists. It is foreseen that the improvements related to the working conditions will contribute providing the pharmaceutical care as well as increasing the job satisfaction of pharmacists.
