In this article, the relation of literature and economy is studied according to the cultural economic app- roaches and especially the data of content industries. Literature researches usually focus on the art aspect of literary works and particularly the stage of creation. However, literature (verbal, written, or printed literature traditions) has got a cultural economic dimension. In the context of this study, the literary works are considered, to be the contents which have the cultural economic dimension and the creation, production, distribution and consumption phases. The connections and the dynamics which have become the dominant in this process must be studied in detail. In this context, the assumption that the dynamics of the transformations in the field of literature are "cultural sponsorship, recording Technologies, printed media and publishing, urban cultural economy, cultural industries, advertising, literary trends, book fairs, intellectual property and copyrights, trade, used book market" must be discussed carefully. On the other hand, it should be studied whether or not the literature has the functions as a basic memory for other cultural sectors. Indeed, the literary memory being a combination of original contents is located in the center of cultural indutries or creative economy. Many cultural economic contents/ productions as films, television series, animations, video games, radio plays, musicals, songs etc. were created by using this memory or heritage as the main source. Again, this literary heritage is considered as the main attraction of cultural tourism. All of these transformations and developments can be studied with the different connections and approaches. The aim of this study adopted the different methods and approaches of the comparative cultural studies, except for stereotyped research approaches, is to discuss the functionality of the different dimension and the connections of literature, so also create the source of new research.
