Özet

Alzheimer disease as the commonest form of dementia is a chronic neurodegenerative disorder. Since it is basically an unreversible process, the preventive measures carry great importantance. Early diagnosis and even prevention of the Alzheimer Disease would be possible by evaluation of the pathogenesis and the risk factors. The studies showed a risk reduction by modification of risk factors like smoking, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, hyperglisemia and by apropriate life style changes.
