Özet

The aerospace industry relies on increasingly complex software products, which require rigorous validation and verification processes. However, existing Software Test Maturity Models (STMMs) have not fully met the industry's needs. Therefore, there is a need to develop customized STMMs to improve software testing practices and ensure high-quality software products. Previous Systematic Literature Review (SLR) studies have not thoroughly investigated STMMs in the aerospace context, despite the crucial role of software testing in determining software quality. To address this gap, an SLR was conducted, analyzing 105 papers. The review revealed a significant gap in the literature related to the examination of STMMs tailored specifically for the aerospace industry to ensure high-quality software products. Existing STMMs are evaluated based on the unique requirements and challenges of testing activities in the aerospace industry. The review identifies a research gap in the literature concerning the need for a specific STMM in the aerospace industry and suggests integration with software obsolescence and complexity.
