Sakin Şehir Kültürel Zeminine Yönelik Bir Alan Araştırması: Erzurum- Uzundere Örneği

Özet

Kültür toplumların hayatî formlarının anlamlı bir bütün halini aldığı sürekli etkileşimlerle değişip dönüşen dinamik bir yapıdır. Bu yapı toplumların hayatları üzerinde etki eden ve toplumsal süreçleri de etkileyen bir forma sahiptir. Günümüz teknolojik gelişmeleri, sosyal yapıdaki bazı yenilikler hem kültürün hem de gelenekli yapının değişim ve dönüşümler yaşamasına neden olmaktadır. Bu değişim ve dönüşümler toplumların gelenekli yapılarında ve bireyler üzerinde oldukça önemli etkilere sahiptir. Söz konusu değişimler ve dönüşümler günümüzün küreselleşmiş toplumlarında daha belirgin bir hâl almaktadır. Teknolojik gelişmeler, küresel ölçekli etki mekanizmaları, dijital sanal çağ bahse konu olan değişimlerin de odağında yer almaktadır. Bu çerçevede çalışmanın temel amacı söz konusu değişim dönüşüm süreçlerinin gelenek kültürü çerçevesinde sakin şehir üyesi Uzundere özelinde ele almasıdır. Bu noktada Uzundere ilçesinin gelenekli yapısında barındırdığı kültürel zemini ve gelenekli yapının neleri içerdiği çalışma ekseninde ifade edilecektir. Alan araştırmasını içeren bu çalışma söz konusu ilçede var olan gelenekli yapıyı ele alacaktır ve bunun sonunda gelenek kültürü ve sakin şehir ilişkisi ortaya konulacak, küreselleşmenin ve değişim dönüşümlerin kent yapısında meydana getirdiği yıkıcı etkilerinin nasıl daha olumlu hale çevrilebileceği tartışılacaktır.
Culture is a dynamic structure that continuously changes and transforms through constant interactions, in which the vital forms of societies come together as a meaningful whole. This structure possesses a form that influences the lives of societies and affects social processes. Current technological developments and certain innovations in the social structure led to changes and transformations in both culture and traditional structures. These changes and transformations have significant impacts on the traditional structure of societies and on individuals. Such transformations become more evident in today’s globalized societies. Technological advancements, globally scaled mechanisms of influence, and the digital virtual age lie at the core of these mentioned changes. In this context, the main aim of the study is to examine the processes of change and transformation within the framework of traditional culture, specifically in the case of Uzundere, a member of the Cittaslow movement. At this point, the study will focus on the cultural foundation embedded in the traditional structure of Uzundere and explore what tis traditional structure encompasses. This research, which includes fieldwork, will address the existing traditional structure in the district; subsequently, the relationship between traditional culture and the Cittaslow movement will be revealed and how the destructive effects of globalization and processes of change and transformation on the urban fabric can be turned into more constructive outcomes will be discussed.
