Özet

Bologna süreciyle birlikte yükseköğretimde kalite güvencesi ve akreditasyon önem kazanmıştır. Bunun sonucunda Türkiye’de Yükseköğretim Kalite Kurulu (YÖKAK) oluşturulmuştur. Türkiye’de farklı yükseköğretim programları farklı kuruluşlar tarafından akredite edilmektedir. YÖKAK’ın yetkilendirdiği akreditasyon kuruluşlarından biri de Eğitim Fakülteleri Programlarını Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Derneği (EPDAD)’dir. Eğitim Fakülteleri 2012’den beri EPDAD tarafından lisans düzeyinde akredite edilmektedir. Rehberlik ve Psikolojik Danışmanlık (RPD) programları da akreditasyon için EPDAD’a başvurmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmanın bir amacı psikolojik danışma programlarının İngiltere, Kanada ve ABD ile Türkiye’deki akreditasyon süreci hakkında bilgi vermektir. Araştırmanın diğer amacı ise Türkiye’de RPD programlarının akreditasyonu ile ilgili tespit edilen eksiklikleri tartışmaktır. Bu araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, RPD programlarının akreditasyon sürecinin daha uygun, etkili ve verimli olmasına yönelik birtakım öneriler sunulmuştur.

Quality assurance and accreditation in higher education has gained importance with the Bologna process. As the result, the Higher Education Quality Council of Turkey (YÖKAK) was formed. Different higher education programs are accredited by different institutions in Turkey. One of the accreditation institutions authorized by YÖKAK is the Association of Evaluation and Accreditation of Education Faculties Programs (EPDAD). The faculties of education have been accredited at the undergraduate level by EPDAD since 2012. Guidance and Psychological Counseling (RPD) programs also apply to EPDAD for accreditation. This is the purpose of the study is to give information about the accreditation process of counseling program of in the England, Canada, United States and Turkey. Another aim of the research is to discuss the shortcomings that have been identified related to the accreditation of programs in Turkey RPD. In this research, survey model was used. As a result of the research, some suggestions were made to make the accreditation process of RPD programs more appropriate, effective and efficient.
