Özet

Modernization is widely accepted as a journey from the developed circles to the developing ones. During Ataturk's term at the early period of the Turkish Republic, the state tried to construct a social, political and judiciary base for the ongoing modernization process. Inviting foreign experts to help modernize the country was among the crucial features of the wide renovation process. This study focuses on the importation of foreign experts from Hungary during the 1920s and 30s. Questions regarding Hungarian experts such as quantitative and qualitative aspects, the instutitions they were employed in and the possible effects they created on the modernization course of the aferomentioned institutions will be among the subjects to be investigated.
