Özet

Cultural heritage mirrors the history of a society. Therefore, there is a need to promote the historical values of an environment and highlight the conservation positively, and demonstrate conservation's role in the identity, social, cultural, and economic life of an environment. In cultural heritage, the historic accommodation environments should not be seen only as built environments, but also they gives us symbolic and emotional meanings as experiences and the witnessed life change events in history. To give an example, worldwide known Turkish poet, novelist and memoirist Nazim Hikmet, had left his traces in Servinaz and Ifilsntigtizel Thermal Hotels of Cekirge District in Bursa. In this sense, his memories and experiences reinforces the importance of the cultural heritage of these thermal hotels in this direction. In this framework, the aim of this study is to investigate the historical and cultural heritage of the Servinaz and Hiisntigtizel Thermal Hotels and Baths of Cekirge District in Bursa, Turkey. Within the scope of the aim of the study, a brief evaluation of historical values and current situations of these hotels have been carried out. In light of the evaluation, it appears that Servinaz and Husnuguzel Thermal Hotels and Baths are remaining without any change with any renovation to the present day. Consequently, the importance of social, cultural, emotional and environmental values of these two historic thermal hotels for our cultural heritage has been revealed with suggestions for future measures of conservation.
