Drawing a line has existed since the moment human being felt the need to make sense, to identify herself. Drawing is the most direst way to capture the creative process. Drawing is an art form of using lines, to paint without colours. The artist’s thought shows itself directly and in the simplest way by drawing. In terms of the new dynamics of today’s art, it is very decisive that drawing and line carry the thought. The closeness of today’s artist with the drawing is related to the potential of a drawing to carry a short stor yor a narrative. While drawing determines the main structure of the work as the main material, it can also enrich the expression together with other disciplines. Drawing as a discipline can come together with the other disciplines such as cinema and photography and drawing practices can be made in the public space where the audience can participate as well.

Çizgi, insanın kendini anlamlandırma ihtiyacı duyduğu ilk andan beri vardır. Çizgi çizmek, yaratıcı süreci yakalamanın en doğrudan, en arabulucusuz yoludur. Desen, çizgi ile yapılan resimdir. Sanatçının düşüncesi çizgi ve desen yoluyla kendini en sade ve doğrudan şekilde ortaya koyar. Desenin ve çizginin düşünceyi taşıması, özellikle günümüz sanatının yeni dinamikleri bağlamında çok belirleyicidir. Günümüz sanatçısının desen ile yakınlığı, çizginin kısa bir hikâyeyi ya da bir anlatıyı taşıyan potansiyeli ile ilgilidir. Çizgi başlıca malzeme olarak eserin ana yapısını belirlerken diğer disiplinlerle birlikte anlatımı da zenginleştirebilmektedir. Desen, sinema ve fotoğraf gibi diğer disiplinlerle bir araya gelebilmekte, birçok performansta izleyiciler desene katılabilmekte, kamusal alanda desen pratikleri yapılabilmektedir.
