Aim: The aim of this research article is to evaluate the number of dietitians appointed to government institutions through the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) between 2020 and 2025, as well as the number of bachelor’s degree graduates working in the field of Health Sciences appointed to institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye. Based on these results, employment recommendations for dietitians will be provided. Subjects and Method: The numbers of dietitians appointed to government institutions through the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS) and bachelor’s degree graduates working in the field of Health Sciences appointed to institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey between 2020 and 2025, as well as their KPSS scores, were calculated using the numerical data from the KPSS placement results database in the Student Selection and Placement System of the Turkish Student Assessment, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM). Results: Between 2020 and 2025, a total of 1,798 dietitians were placed in government institutions through the Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS). The majority of these dietitians (90.4%) were assigned to units affiliated with the Ministry of Health, while 8.1% were assigned to units under the Ministry of National Education. Among the dietitians placed in the Ministry of Health, the vast majority (77.3%) were assigned to hospitals, and a small portion (20.8%) were placed in primary healthcare institutions. When evaluating the personnel appointed to the Ministry of Health between 2020 and 2025, a total of 86,715 personnel were assigned, of whom approximately 95% (81,904 personnel) were Health Professionals. The largest group among them were Nurses, constituting 73%, followed by Midwives, accounting for 15%. Conclusion: Due to the presence of nutrition in every aspect of life, it should be aimed to ensure that dietitians work widely in all fields, to demonstrate these efforts with cost-benefit analyses, and to enhance the competencies of dietitians through post-graduate in-service training according to the areas in which they work.
Amaç: Bu araştırma makalesinde 2020-2025 yılları arasında KPSS ile devlet kurumlarına atanan diyetisyenler ile T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı’na bağlı kurumlara atanan Sağlık Bilimleri alanında çalışan lisans mezunlarının sayılarını değerlendirmek ve bu sonuçlara göre diyetisyenler için istihdam önerilerinde bulunmak amaçlanmıştır. Bireyler ve Yöntem: Kamu Personel Seçme Sınavı ile Devlet Kurumları’na atanan diyetisyenlerin ve T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığına bağlı kurumlara atanan Sağlık Bilimleri alanında çalışan lisans mezunlarının 2020-2025 yılları arasında ki sayıları ve KPSS puanlarına ilişkin veriler Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Öğrenci Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi Başkanlığı (ÖSYM) Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Sistemi veri tabanında yer alan KPSS yerleştirme sonuçları sayısal bilgileri kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Bulgular: Kamu Personeli Seçme Sınavı ile Devlet Kurumlarına 2020-2025 yılları arasında toplam 1.798 diyetisyenin yerleştiği, diyetisyenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun (%90,4) T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı’na %8,1’inin T.C. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı birimlere atandıkları, T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı’na yerleşen diyetisyenlerin büyük çoğunluğunun (%77,3) hastanelere, çok az bir kısmının (%20,8) birinci basamak kuruluşlarına yerleştikleri görülmüştür. T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı’na 2020-2025 yılları arasında atanan personeller değerlendirildiğinde, toplam 86.715 personel atandığı, bu personelin yaklaşık %95’inin (81.904 personel) Sağlık Meslek Mensubu olduğu, en fazla atanan grubun Hemşireler olduğu (%73), bunu Ebelerin izlediği (%15) bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Beslenmenin yaşamın her alanında yer alması nedeniyle diyetisyenlerin tüm alanlarda yaygın olarak görev almasının sağlanması, bu çalışmaların maliyet yarar hesabı ile ortaya konulması ve diyetisyenlerin çalıştıkları alanlara göre mezuniyet sonrası hizmet içi eğitimler ile yetkinliklerinin arttırılması hedeflenmelidir.
