Abstract

Herein we report a 10-month-old infant who experienced a severe tubulointerstitial nephritis. Past medical history revealed that he was diagnosed as viral upper respiratory tract infection ten days before admission; and five days later antibiotic and anti-cough medication were prescribed containing hedera helix because of fever. Herbal medicine should be used cautiously in pediatric age group.
