Self-reflection is a vital tool that can be used in preparing introspective information professionals who would thrive in multicultural workplace settings. A qualitative analysis of students' identity exploration papers demonstrates how information professionals discover and understand the meaning of race, privilege, and intersectionality between them by navigating their own cultural identity. Findings reveal the importance of self-awareness in cultivating a culturally responsive mindset. This study demonstrates how cultural literacy approaches can be applied to develop introspective information professionals who would be critical agents of change in efforts to increase inclusivity and help patrons become active participants in their community.
