This study includes an interview I conducted with Ferhunde Ozbay in 2008 about her life and sociological perspective together with the review of her significant works. Ozbay has tried to use both quantitative and qualitative methods in a particular study. In her studies, she does not take gender as a fixed category. Instead she regards it as social relation which transforms in terms of migration, legal modification, household differentiation and population policies. Her fields of interest fall into a wide range from household labour to the relation between law and demographics, from the relation between household space and gender influenced character to urban organization. With those studies, Ozbay has unveiled fields of studies which are emphasized recently.
