Özet

Spasticity is a common problem among patients with MS, and the rate is presumed to be between 40 to 75%. According to some of resources, this rate is as high as 84%. Spasticity causes fatigue, painful spasms, contractures, gait abnormalities, poor mobility and secondary strength loss in antagonist muscles. Spasticity and its intensity may alter due to infections, urine retentions, bladder or kidney stones, constipations, skin ulcerations, nail immersions, usage of incompetible orthesis, inappropriate positions in bed or wheelchair and tight clothing.
