Özet

The purpose of this paper is to give some information about the 82nd IFLA General Conference and Assembly, which was held in Columbus, Ohio on August 13-19 2016 and to briefly evaluate the Conference. The paper also presents some general information about IFLA along with the above-mentioned activity. More than 3000 people from 137 countries were participated to 82nd IFLA Conference, which was held in 2016. Although there had been an intensive working program, many social events also took place during the Conference. In the closing ceremony the IFLA Conference in 2018 was announced to be held in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). Next year's IFLA Conference will be held in Wroclaw, Poland.
