The primary purpose of this study is to reveal the importance of the nudge theory in new behavioural economics in increasing electronic citizen participation in Turkish public administration. In this framework, the study first lists the factors affecting the e-participation of citizens in Turkiye, and then, by considering these factors, suggestions for improvements that can be made in the participation process through the findings of nudge theory are presented. As a result of the literature review conducted in the study, it was concluded that the suggestions listed as "utilising the default option implement, facilitating the selection process of individuals, heuristics beneficiation, focusing on the today's utility, making remarkable the message used, briefing, considering the effect of age in the decision-making process, reducing possible concerns about the registration process."
