ÖZET

Bir toplumsal kurum olarak aile, toplum­sal yapı içindeki yerini bugün de önemli ölçüde korumaktadır. Belirli bir toplumda, belirli bir zamanda var olan toplumsal yapı ile aile sistemi arasında güçlü bağ­lar vardır. Toplumsal yapı değişirken, aile de değişmektedir. Bu değişmenin etkisi altında temelde iki tip aile ortaya çıkmış­tır: Geleneksel geniş aile ve çağdaş çe­kirdek aile. Toplumsal değişme aynı za­manda ailenin temel işlevlerini de etkile­mektedir. Bu nedenle günümüzde ailenin geleceği konusunda çok yoğun tartış­malar yaşanmaktadır. Hemen hepimiz bir

toplum ve aile içinde yaşarız. Ancak aile, çocuk ve yetişkinler için farklı anlamlar taşır. Aile, bireyin sonraki yaşantısı üze­rinde etkili olacak çok sayıda belirleyici öğeyi içerir. Bunlar arasında birincil top­lumsallaştırma işlevi büyük önem taşır. Her toplumsal kurum gibi aile de toplum­sal yapı içinde belirli işlevleri yerine geti­ren, toplumsal yapıyı oluşturan alt ve üst yapı kurumlarınca etkilenen, şekillenen ve yine bu yapıları etkileyen bir kurumdur

SUMMARY

Today, family, as a social institution, mostly maintains its place in the social structure. There are strong ties between social structure and family system in a particular society and in a particular time. While social structure is changing, family changes also. Two different family type emerged as a result of this changing: Traditional extended family and contem­porary nucleus family. Social change also effects the basic family functions. So that, today, it has been taking place intensive speculations about future of the family. Nearly all of us, live in a society and in a family; but family has different means for the child and adult. Family in­volves many determinants that can be effective on the one’s future life. One of the important function of the family is the primary socialisation. Like other social institutions, family is an institution that makes particular functions in the social structure, and affected and shaped by infra and super structures that consti­tutes the social structure, and it also ef­fects these structures.
