Özet

Nazi Germany and Adolf Hitler are frequently mentioned directly or indirectly in the novels which discuss World War II-era. Turkish novel is not an exception in this context. There are a lot of works in Turkish novel which treat Turkish people's view on Germany and Hitler during the World War II-era. It is seen that there are two main images in these works about Nazi Germany in the minds of Turkish characters: One of them is "Germany as a friend of Turkey" image and the other one is "Germany as a servant of Islam" image. Both images have their own serious historical roots and when these roots are analyzed aright, projections of both images in the Turkish novel will be understood easier.
