Özet

Today, growing the elderly population among the total population as a result of long life expectancy and utilization of an important part of the health services by elderly people increase the importance of the health services of elderly people. Supporting the elderly people by interdisciplinary care which is developed as individually is important in improving the life quality of them. Caring the most of the problems experienced by elderly people is within the context of nursing applications and increasingly nurses have to care the elderly people in various areas. With aging, many changes occur in muscles, tendons and bones as a result of the changes in structure, function and biochemistry of body and musculoskeletal problems are among the most important health problems in elderly people. Nursing care related to promoting the musculoskeletal health and musculoskeletal problems and treatments in geriatrics, were explained with general view in this article.
