In this article, the importance of transport sector are determined and interpreted in terms of cultural image studies. The starting point of this research is to examine the relationship of Inter-city bus transport/other transport vehicles and the cities images in Turkey. After classifying and examining the names, marketing slogans and images of the bus companies, this article aims to review the applications to benefit from the memory of city. And also, the application forms to benefit from local natural (geographical structure, agriculture and livestock etc.) historical and cultural heritage are cleared up carefully. It is pointed out the attractiveness and availability of local intangible cultural heritage including folk dance, music, architecture, cuisine, crafts and peak figures etc. for these applications. Discussing that the registration of geographical indications and the protection of intellectual property and traditional knowledge is very important is another topic of this study. Furthermore the importance of the cultural image studies, cultural memory and the design activities for the creation and development of city brand, urban culture/memory/identity is emphasized in detail. These images dressed in the busses are very important for the safeguarding and development of local natural, historical and cultural heritage. Another purpose of this article is to study the contributions of these activities to local and national cultural economy.
