Özet

One of the machines used for production and processing of natural stones is circular sawing machines. These machines are used in stone processing spreadly because of having a flexible usage opportunity according to other processing machines. Therefore, determination of optimum operating conditions for circular sawing machines is an important subject for stone processing. In previous studies, different methods and parameters were used for determination of optimum operating conditions of circular blades. However, there is no study in which specific energy and surface roughness are used together for determination of optimum operating conditions. In scope of this study, sawing tests were performed on natural stone sample commercial named as Afyon Honey with full automatic model circular sawing machine developed in Hacettepe University' Department of Mining Engineering. Vibration values were recorded during sawing, specific energy and surface roughness values were also determined. The optimum operating conditions were tried to determine for natural stone sawn. Thus, both the determination of more economical sawing conditions and to assist other processing stages such as calibration, polishing etc. were aimed.
