Loving children is one of the most accepted ways of showing unconditional love. There is an old-standing legend (indicating) that Turkish society love children. However, there is a need to evaluate people' ways of loving children in proper ways with a valid and reliable measuring instrument. This study was conducted to meet this need and the main purpose of this study was to determine the validity and reliability of Barnett Liking of Children Scale in Turkish society. The reliability study of the Barnett Liking of Children Scale on 243 undergraduate students revealed an internal consistency of .92 and a test-retest reliability coefficient of 0.85. According to the principal component analysis, it was determined that the factor loads of all 14 items were high in the first dimension, and total variability of the first factor was 51.83%. As a result of this study, it was determined that Barnett Liking of Children Scale can be accepted as a valid and reliable tool which can be used in Turkish society.
