Understanding of physics topics and solving of problems about these topics, mathematical knowledge of the students is very important of course. For this reason, although physics and mathematics is two different branches, they are often used together. Difficulties experienced by students in mathematics are revealed in many studies. In this study, the aim is to investigate the mental models of physics teachers on integral. For this purpose, various open-ended questions related to integral were questioned to the prospective physics teachers in the first and second class (36 students) in a state university. According to findings in the study, prospective physics teachers have created simple models for area under the curve and issues for the area between two intersect curves. Rotating around the axis of the curve a number of broken links in the information chain is complex and they create in their minds has been concluded.
