Özet
Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) offers the highest cure rates for many high-risk cutaneous malignancies through real-time, microscopic assessment of the complete surgical margins. Despite its well-established oncologic advantages, MMS remains unavailable in most of Türkiye, where no structured training pathway or accreditation framework currently exists. This review was written in the context of the MMS work group established under the Turkish Society of Dermatology in June 2026, representing the first coordinated national effort in this field. It aims to provide an evidence-based reference on indications and technique, and to offer a practical roadmap for the safe and sustainable adoption of MMS in settings new to the procedure.
