Artificial intelligence technologies, which are the latest link in the changes and transformations that have been taking place in law enforcement and public safety for centuries, are a revolution for some, a disaster for others, and for others a companion that is quite useful but should be approached with caution. When the debates are put aside and the subject is approached from an impartial perspective, it is obvious that the relationship between artificial intelligence technologies and law enforcement and public safety is a subject that should be addressed from multiple perspectives. A very wide technology ecosystem, ranging from artificial intelligence police that can predict the future to smart courts that can make decisions like human judges; both its benefits and potential problems and risks should be addressed together, and thus, ultimately, reliable, limited, ethical artificial intelligence should be aimed for. In this study, acting from this perspective, artificial intelligence technologies in practice in terms of law enforcement and public safety were examined, and possible problems and risks were also revealed in the same way; and the subject was addressed from multiple perspectives.
