Özet

The gamma-pyrone ring of the title molecule [2,3-dihydro-7-hydroxy-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one, C16H14O4] adopts the C-2-sofa conformation; the C2 and C3 atoms show disorder. The 2-phenyl substituent is twisted out of the benzo-gamma-pyrone ring. The C3-C2-C20-C21 torsion angle is 109.5 (4)degrees and the C3 C2'-C20-C21 torsion angle is 16.7 (7)degrees.
